Terms of Use

Effective date: August 25, 2026
Last updated: August 25, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of stayonhealth.com and its articles, essays, commentary, illustrations, information, and other editorial materials.

The Site is operated by Mustafa Kemal Çalık, MD, operating StayOnHealth.

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not agree with them, you should not use the Site.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that applicable law does not permit to be waived.

1. Nature of the Site

StayOnHealth is an independent English-language editorial publication based in Türkiye.

It explores medicine, health, caregiving, technology, longevity, healthcare systems, and the relationship between medical care and ordinary life.

StayOnHealth is not:

  • a hospital;
  • clinic;
  • medical practice;
  • pharmacy;
  • telemedicine provider;
  • emergency service;
  • diagnostic service;
  • patient portal; or
  • personal health-record service.

2. Medical Information

Health and medical material on StayOnHealth is provided for informational, educational, journalistic, and editorial purposes.

It is not individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Use of the Site does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Mustafa Kemal Çalık, MD, StayOnHealth, any contributor, or any organization mentioned on the Site.

You should obtain individualized advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for decisions concerning your own health.

The Medical Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

3. Emergencies

StayOnHealth is not an emergency service.

If you believe you or another person may be experiencing a medical emergency, use the emergency medical system available where you are located or seek immediate professional care.

Do not use the Contact form or email for emergency assistance.

4. No Other Professional Relationship

Unless expressly agreed in a separate written arrangement, material on the Site does not constitute individualized:

  • legal advice;
  • financial or investment advice;
  • professional consulting advice;
  • psychological treatment; or
  • another regulated professional service.

No such professional relationship is created merely by using or contacting the Site.

5. Editorial Independence

StayOnHealth may publish commentary, opinion, analysis, essays, reflections, and interpretation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, an author’s views are their own.

They should not automatically be attributed to any current or former hospital, university, employer, healthcare organization, professional association, publisher, commercial company, or other institution with which the author may be associated.

6. Accuracy and Scientific Change

StayOnHealth seeks to publish responsible and evidence-informed work.

However, medical and scientific understanding changes.

Information may later become:

  • incomplete;
  • outdated;
  • superseded;
  • corrected; or
  • subject to legitimate professional disagreement.

StayOnHealth may revise, correct, annotate, expand, or remove content without prior notice.

No guarantee is made that every article is continuously current or appropriate for every reader, jurisdiction, or individual circumstance.

7. Clinical and Personal Stories

StayOnHealth may use clinical experiences, patient stories, caregiving experiences, and illustrative scenarios.

Where appropriate, identifying details may be removed, altered, generalized, or combined to preserve confidentiality and dignity.

Readers must not attempt to identify people described in anonymized or composite material.

Such stories are editorial illustrations of broader ideas and are not individualized clinical instructions.

8. Editorial Illustrations

StayOnHealth uses original editorial illustrations, including AI-assisted imagery, to interpret ideas discussed in articles.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these images are conceptual.

They do not depict actual patients, actual clinical events, actual diagnostic findings, or documentary medical evidence.

They must not be treated as diagnostic images, anatomical teaching material, procedural instructions, or medical records.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, original Site content is owned by or licensed to StayOnHealth and/or the identified author or rights holder.

This includes, where applicable:

  • articles;
  • essays;
  • original wording;
  • illustrations;
  • graphics;
  • photographs;
  • visual concepts;
  • page design;
  • logos;
  • downloadable materials; and
  • other original editorial content.

These materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Permitted Personal Use

You may:

  • read the Site;
  • link to publicly available pages;
  • share links through ordinary social-media or communication services;
  • print or save reasonable portions for personal, non-commercial use; and
  • quote limited portions for criticism, commentary, research, scholarship, journalism, or other purposes permitted by law, with appropriate attribution.

Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted independently by applicable copyright law.

11. Uses Requiring Permission

Except where applicable law independently permits the activity, you may not without prior permission:

  • republish entire articles;
  • reproduce substantial portions of the Site;
  • commercially syndicate Site content;
  • sell or license StayOnHealth content;
  • distribute unauthorized substantial translations;
  • remove copyright or authorship information;
  • build a competing content archive from systematic copying;
  • impersonate StayOnHealth or its author;
  • falsely suggest sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation; or
  • use StayOnHealth branding in a misleading manner.

Permission requests may be sent to:

admin@stayonhealth.com

12. Search Engines, Automated Access, and Artificial Intelligence

StayOnHealth supports legitimate discovery, citation, indexing, and linking to its work.

Reasonable automated indexing by search engines and information-retrieval systems may be permitted where consistent with the Site’s technical instructions.

Automated access may not, without permission:

  • scrape the Site at scale;
  • reproduce substantial portions of its content;
  • create a substitute publication;
  • build or sell a commercial content dataset from StayOnHealth material;
  • bypass access controls, robots directives, or technical restrictions;
  • materially interfere with Site operation; or
  • use substantial Site content to train or fine-tune generative artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models where permission is legally required.

Limited quotation, summarization, indexing, citation, and linking that helps users identify and reach the original StayOnHealth source is distinguished from wholesale copying or replacement of the original work.

StayOnHealth reserves applicable rights concerning automated text and data mining.

13. Third-Party Links

StayOnHealth may link to external:

  • journals;
  • government publications;
  • professional organizations;
  • newspapers and magazines;
  • books;
  • companies;
  • applications;
  • products; and
  • services.

A link is provided for context, reference, or convenience.

It does not necessarily constitute endorsement, sponsorship, certification, or recommendation.

StayOnHealth does not control external sites and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, privacy practices, or subsequent changes.

14. Products and Commercial References

Mention of a product, medicine, device, company, application, book, service, or technology does not by itself constitute endorsement.

StayOnHealth is not currently operated as a personalized product-recommendation service.

If the Site introduces sponsorships, affiliate arrangements, paid partnerships, or other material commercial relationships in the future, appropriate disclosures will be made where relevant.

15. Contact Form

The Contact form is intended for matters such as:

  • editorial correspondence;
  • media enquiries;
  • professional correspondence;
  • permissions;
  • publication matters;
  • website questions; and
  • general feedback.

It is not a clinical consultation channel.

Do not submit:

  • patient records;
  • diagnostic images;
  • laboratory reports;
  • genetic information;
  • detailed confidential health histories; or
  • other sensitive medical information.

Sending a medical question does not create a professional duty to diagnose, treat, advise, or respond.

16. Contact Information Is Not a Newsletter Subscription

Submitting your name or email through the Contact form does not enroll you in a newsletter or marketing program.

At the effective date of these Terms, StayOnHealth does not operate an email newsletter subscription system through the Site.

If a newsletter is introduced later, any subscription process will be separate from ordinary Contact-form correspondence.

17. Submitted Material

If you send unsolicited manuscripts, ideas, photographs, stories, or other material, do not assume that the material will be:

  • confidential;
  • reviewed;
  • published;
  • compensated; or
  • returned.

Ordinary private correspondence will not be treated as public merely because it was sent through the Contact form.

If StayOnHealth wishes to publish material supplied by you, publication rights and other relevant terms may be agreed separately.

You must not knowingly submit material that:

  • infringes third-party intellectual-property rights;
  • violates another person’s privacy;
  • unlawfully identifies a patient;
  • is defamatory or fraudulent;
  • contains malicious code; or
  • is otherwise unlawful.

18. Prohibited Technical Conduct

You may not use the Site to:

  • introduce malware;
  • interfere with normal Site operation;
  • attempt unauthorized access;
  • defeat security measures;
  • launch denial-of-service activity;
  • harvest personal information unlawfully;
  • misuse forms for automated spam;
  • impersonate another person; or
  • violate applicable law or third-party rights.

19. Privacy

Use of the Site is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains the limited personal information that may be processed through ordinary website operation and the Contact form.

20. Site Availability

StayOnHealth may modify, reorganize, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site.

The Site is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or free of technical errors.

Service may occasionally be affected by:

  • maintenance;
  • hosting interruptions;
  • internet failures;
  • security events; or
  • circumstances outside reasonable control.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

StayOnHealth does not warrant that:

  • every item of information is complete or error-free;
  • every item will remain current indefinitely;
  • every external link will continue to function;
  • the Site will always be uninterrupted;
  • every technical defect will immediately be corrected; or
  • information suitable for one reader will be suitable for another.

Nothing in this section excludes rights or warranties that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StayOnHealth, its operator, authors, contributors, and contractors will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from inappropriate reliance on general editorial information as a substitute for individualized professional advice.

Where permitted by law, this also applies to losses arising from:

  • third-party websites;
  • temporary Site unavailability;
  • technical errors;
  • unauthorized third-party activity outside reasonable control; or
  • actions taken without appropriate individualized professional assessment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or restricted, including mandatory consumer protections and liability arising from intentional misconduct or other non-excludable causes.

23. International Readers

StayOnHealth is published from Türkiye and is accessible internationally, including in the United States and Europe.

Access from another country does not mean that StayOnHealth:

  • operates a medical practice in that country;
  • holds a healthcare licence there;
  • offers telemedicine services there; or
  • directs individualized medical treatment there.

Readers remain responsible for considering laws, medical standards, professional guidance, and healthcare arrangements applicable where they live.

Mandatory rights applicable under local law are unaffected.

24. United States Readers

StayOnHealth welcomes readers in the United States as part of its international editorial audience.

The Site does not offer personal health records, individualized healthcare services, health-data accounts, or health-based advertising profiles.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any mandatory right a U.S. reader may have under applicable federal or state law.

25. Children

StayOnHealth is intended primarily for a general adult readership.

The Site does not intentionally seek personal information from children through interactive services.

A parent or guardian who believes that a child has submitted personal information that should be removed may contact:

admin@stayonhealth.com

26. Governing Law

Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms and the operation of the Site are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Questions or disputes should be handled in accordance with applicable Turkish law, subject to any mandatory jurisdictional or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be displaced.

27. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

An invalid provision should be interpreted or limited only as far as necessary to make the remainder enforceable where possible.

28. No Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or any other right.

29. Changes to These Terms

StayOnHealth may revise these Terms where the Site, technology, editorial practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

The current revision date will appear at the top of this page.

Material changes will apply prospectively where required by law.
